Canon Powershot V10: Exclusive Summer PR Launch by SPC
SPC designed and executed an exclusive PR event for Canon to celebrate the launch of the new Powershot V10 vlogging camera, targeting influencers, content creators, and YouTubers. The goal was to provide a hands-on experience, maximize engagement, and create conditions for a virality boost.
The event featured a carefully curated guest list, spanning fashion, tech, travel, and sports content creators. Invitations were sent as innovative digital teasers to spark FOMO and ensure high attendance. Two popular content creators served as hosts, speaking the language of the audience while lending credibility to the product’s features. Pre-event, a humorous, native-content video featuring the hosts using the camera in daily life generated high awareness across Instagram channels.
Held at a stunning venue beneath the Acropolis, the space blended summer vibes with Instagrammable, tech-forward installations. Highlights included a tech pool main vlogging point with LED lighting, a presentation stage, branded cubes, LED stools, and a surfboard, all designed to encourage guests to create unique content on-site. Guests enjoyed refreshing drinks and a light buffet, while live streaming allowed those unable to attend to participate virtually.
Around 90 of 110 invited guests attended, sharing content across social media and tagging Canon, significantly amplifying reach. Post-event, an aftermovie with event highlights was shared on all channels, further boosting awareness and engagement.
